This bulb was bought because I bought a bathroom vanity light that required the G9 bulb. I initially bought an adapter to use a standard E26 bulb, but the adapters were of poor quality and the adapter with a standard bulb protruded outside of the fixture. It looked awkward to say the least.
I bought these because they provide the greatest amount of lumens for the G9 bulb. I don't have a way to verify if these are indeed illuminating at 1,000 lumens, but they are sufficient for my needs.
Overall, I would recommend these bulbs. I'll have to revisit this review if they burn out or malfunction sooner than expected. I would be happy if they lasted 3 years or more. I know that LEDs should last much longer, but I can understand lower quality for a bulb that is not readily produced.

I am very happy with the brightness and color tone of these bulbs. I have a light fixture that, while beautiful, has sockets for only four 40W G9 halogen bulbs and heavy glass shades besides. Yet with these LEDs, my small 120 square foot sitting room is well lit. The lighting quality is just the slightest touch warm, which I prefer. Plus the bulbs don't overheat or draw as much energy as standard halogens.
I had originally bought the brightest 40W halogens I could find with 780 lumens each. The result was medium light and a lot of shadows. Upgrading to LEDs made a noticeable improvement. I no longer need a second light to banish the shadows at night.
